Every April 1st the girls at the office try to get the boss. Two years ago we Foiled her office. We wrapped everything on her desk in tin foil. Last year we wrapped her car in plastic wrap. This year we came up with a last minute idea. We would all call into work and say we couldn't work due to some silly excuse. We couldn't all call at the same time so we started on Wednesday night and thru out the night we would text her with our messages that we couldn't work Thursday. Most of the excuses were our children were "sick" or we had to take our mom to the doctor or we needed a day off and enough said.
What makes this even more funny....its an accounting office. We are in the middle of the tax season. The big deadline is in two weeks and no one is coming to work.
Of course we were all going to be in the office. We all parked across the street so when the boss came to work she wouldn't see any of our cars.
It worked out so great!!!! She told us later she was thinking on her way to work she was disappointed that no one would be in the office to play April fools jokes. It even confirmed it when she pulled into the parking lot and no one was there. Little did she know we were waiting inside.
It took her a minute to come in but when she saw us she started laughing and said "y'all got me". She loves April Fools Day.
No we are working on next years prank.

The Phillies won again 12 - 4
Ethan had a game last night and they won. 12 to 4. Ethan got 4 runs and had a blast!
Before the game he was saying that he wished baseball uniforms had shorts, because he was hot. When we got to the game the clouds came out and the wind started blowing. It was very chili. By the end of the game he was complaining he was cold. I had to say "Aren't you glad you have pants on". He just smiled.

The Shirt
Cousin Leslie gave Ethan a shirt for Christmas. We went to Bama on spring break and of course we took the shirt with us. We get a lot of commits about if from our friends. They always ask if he has a Texas shirt.
Ethan loves this shirt! Uncle Todd noticed Ethan's shirt and told he would have to buy him a real shirt and he could throw this one out.
Thanks Cousin Leslie!
I love the look on Ethan's face.

Baseball
Well it is baseball season. Ethan had his 1st game on Saturday afternoon. They won 10 to 9. Ethan had 2 of the ten runs. GO ETHAN!!! He slid into 3rd base. I asked "How did you know to slide into 3rd base?" he said "I just know". Of course he did.
He is really good at hitting the ball. I'm amazed how far he can hit it. I think we found something he will continue to do.
Here are a few pictures of his first game.

Thanksgiving Trip to Bama
Ethan and I took a trip to Bama to visit with family for the week of Thanksgiving. Unfortunately Russell had to work and had no vacation because he has only worked there a couple months.
So Ethan and I hit the road and spent the week in Bama. We really enjoyed our trip. On the way we stopped to see Tony the tiger. Tony is a tiger who lives in a big cage at a gas station at exit 139 in Louisiana. I believe they are trying to raise money to move him to a better place.

We were making such great time when the state of Alabama decided to do road work. We were at a crawl for about an hour. Ethan did very well on this trip. I think he only asked me twice if we were there yet.
We arrived safely to Melissa's house 10.5 hours after we left our home.

Fishing...
This past weekend Ethan could earn his Fishing patch for boy scouts. Bass Pro Shop has a huge pond that they stocked with fish. We got there right on time and spent about 2 hours and was not able to catch a fish. There were many many people there, so the competition was high. They also had snakes and other animals there to touch.
I asked him if he would put the snake around his neck and take a picture. He said no so I had to bribe him with $5 to do it. And as you see from the picture below I am out $5.
He loved it!

Its been a long while since I've posted. So I thought I would talk a few minutes to write an update.
Ethan no longer has long hair. My dad decided to cut it. Ethan came home after visiting grandpa's with no hair. I was not happy about it, but it is done and he is growing it back out.
Halloween was a lot of fun. We have started a new tradition with a good friend of ours. There are a few houses on her street that get together on Halloween hand out candy and eat hot dogs and snacks. This was the 2nd yr for us to go there and Ethan really enjoys it. Doug made a haunted house this year in the back yard and Ethan was very excited about going in it. This is what he looked like afterwards....

He didn't like the chainsaw at the end. After a few tears he was ok and we went trick or treating. After trick or treating I asked him if he wanted to go with me through the haunted house and to my amazement he said yes. And again he was crying at the end. So I guess we will see if he remembers this next year.
